TEL AVIV, Israel, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Thousands of high-tech professionals, including delegations from China, gathered at the Israeli Digital Life Design (DLD) festival, which started on Wednesday in central Israel's Tel-Aviv.

The professionals, including just-getting-started entrepreneurs and seasoned investors, arrived in Tel Aviv for the annual festival, the biggest high-tech gathering in the country.

Chairman of DLD festival Yossi Vardi said that "13 delegations from China arrived to participate in the high-tech festival. I wish more and more Chinese entrepreneurs will come in the coming years."

In recent years, Chinese companies have become active in making investment in Israel from traditional sectors to medical services, clean technology and internet. Some leading Chinese firms such as Huawei, Legend and Xiaomi have set up R&D centers in Israel.

"Over 80 Israeli companies has already raised capital from China," said Chairman of Israel innovation Authority Amiram Appelbaum. He hopes the cooperation between China and Israel will continue and go deeper.

Events such as discussions, workshops, topical breakouts and networking opportunities will be carried out during the two-day conference.
